Fluke 22.5: Andy Conrad Memorial Handout
This issue commemorates one of my dearest friends who died a tragic and untimely death two weeks after his 52nd birthday. This is free to anyone who attends his memorial in Little Rock on June 28th, 2025.
A local legend before he hit 20 years of age, Andy Conrad was 17 when his first band the Numbskulz opened for the Romantics in Little Rock, Arkansas. Numbskulz also won several musician showcases, earning them free studio time and a trip to South by Southwest in 1990.
Inside you'll find Andy's writing "Boy Scouts" (Numbskulz story) from Fluke 5 (1998) and his interview from Fluke 13 (2016), both long out of print. There are a couple of unpublished pieces, including a writing about his favorite band Trusty and a few excerpts from his European travel journal (1997). There's even a postcard from me to him in 1997!
